Hey Salt and Big fifty,

Have you guys thought about bulk fuel purchases.  With all the boaters there in Michigan at least, you might be able to pre-purchase a bunch of fuel at a discount rate through your marina. This might make cruising hurt a little less. How about texas.  Can’t you guys buy an oil well or something? cheese If you do, send a truck up here, I probably use 1200 gallons or more a season.

From what I heard, all of the members of a club prepay the fuel through their marina’s gas dock so they don’t need a place to store fuel.  They get the discount because of the amount of fuel they purchase in advance.  This way they’re insulated for the season against price increases.

I DON’T KNOW IF THAT WILL WORK, HOWEVER I THINK THAT IS A GREAT IDEA

Or, if every boater had a card that subtracted the number of gallons purchased from their total. That could work.  Since every boater in the club is assigned a slip, it may also be easy to keep track of the number of gallons used per slip.

I guess it’s sill aproblem if a club member doesn’t keep his/her boat at the marina but you can still keep track by name.

SLIP OR NO SLIP JUST ISSUE A CARD TO THE PEOPLE THAT PAY AND WHEN THEY FILL UP SHOW THERE CARD, IT’S JUST LIKE PREPAY WITH A DISCOUNT FOR BUYING IN BULK
